Matchstick Speaker Dock for Kindle Fire

Grace Digital has announced the new Matchstick Speaker Dock, a full range speaker and charging dock specifically designed for the 7-inch Kindle Fire. The device has undergone a name change from FireDock to Matchstick but is otherwise the same.

The USB port, headphone jack and power button of Amazon’s Kindle Fire are all positioned along one edge of the tablet, a unique configuration that Grace Digital’s new Matchstick was designed to support. The tablet’s internal battery can be charged while in use, and the dock’s cradle can be rotated for portrait or landscape viewing. The dock also has a 16-watt Class D digital amplifier and 3-inch full-range, bass-ported stereo speakers rated at 3W/8 ohms, with a frequency response of between 60 Hz and 18 kHz and signal-to-noise ratio of 89 dB.

This puppy will be going for a stylish $129.99.
