    ELMO QBiC MS-1

Elmo’s latest palm-sized QBiC MS-1 POV Action Camera is a wearable device suited for easy one-handed use when not attached to your apparel. It’s wide angle lens imitates the point-of-view that the human eye sees and can vary from a very wide 185-degrees to 135-degrees, which bodes well for action scenes, as well as those wide-angle shots.

The QBiC MS-1 can be used to record video/image of action sports, travel, landscapes, special events, food, family and friends, hobbies or field trips, and it’s equipped with built-in Wi-Fi.  Additionally the MS-1 will wirelessly connect to your iOS or Android smartphone through the official QBiC App for instant uploading to Facebook, Instagram or any social media. You can now share your creativity with everyone right as it happens.

With the app on your mobile device, you can view the live image from the camera, capture or record video, and change angle settings remotely. The QBIC also has another app that lets the iPhone be used as a viewfinder. An accessory bracket is included that attaches to the camera’s back and then grips onto the sides of the phone horizontally.  So now you have a viewfinder, and the camera can be controlled without having to use its “hard” controls.

The QBIC can shoot both still images at 5 MP resolution, and HD video up to 1080p resolution. Photos can be shot singly or in a burst mode of 10 a second.  A second video mode (Super Hi-Speed WVGA — 240 frames per second) captures video such that, played back, it’s like looking at extreme slow-motion. All of this is accessible directly from the camera’s controls as the left side contains the movie tab and the top has the photo tab.

Other controls include the power tab at the upper left top and an interface pull-out section on the right. This covers the micro-SD card slot as well as a USB socket, which is used to charge the internal battery and a micro-HDMI socket for sending media to a TV.  Other accessories besides the accessory bracket include patch cables.

The internal microphone provides professsional stereo and great sound, and image quality keeps colors looking correct and very sharp. The QBIC MS1 POV Action Camera is very compact, pacts a lot of features, and the hand-held design is unique and gorgeous. Social media fans, as well as those looking for a camera that can capture photos and video in a unique fashion will love this device.
