    Valentine One Radar Detector

When driving, everyone wants to avoid speeding tickets, especially since the fuzz can ding you for well over $400 for a simple speeding infraction.  Dubbed “the last radar detector that you would ever need to buy”, the Valentine One is no joke. In fact, even though it was introduced a long while back, it still stands to be the best detector on the market, and for good reason.

The real uniqueness behind the Valentine One is its arrows, which were patented over 2 decades ago. Its arrow system provides the information needed to separate the false alarms from actual cops. Additionally, the Valentine One has a twin antenna design, with one facing toward the front and one facing toward the back. These will keep you protected from different types of radar and laser guns. While it does not offer all of the bells and whistles of other devices, it is probably the most dependable radar detector on the market.

Valentine One Radar Detector is strong but light

    Valentine One Design

In its 20-year-long company history, Valentine One radar detectors have not changed very much in design. The unit is rectangular and made from magnesium metal, which is strong and light and helps to prevent electrical interference from other devices, and its components are the highest of grade, which is the main reason why the Valentine One has always been at the top of the list of radar top performers.

    Performance

As already mentioned, the V1 stands out because of its front and rear protection. The large red arrows on the front indicate from which direction the radar signal is coming, and the V1 also includes what Valentine calls the “bogey counter”, which displays the number of simultaneous threats detected in the area. For example, if there is a speed trap ahead of you and a police car coming up behind you, the forward and back arrows are illuminated and the bogey counter displays the number two.

The Valentine One radar detector includes a mute dial an auto-mute feature. The auto-mute feature alerts you at full volume when a radar signal is detected. Subsequent to the initial alert, the volume automatically lowers before the sound gets too loud. You can also push the mute button the alarm sound get irritating.

    Accuracy

When it comes to detection range and accuracy, the Valentine One radar detector is second to none. The unit can detect lasers as well as the X, K and Ka bands up to five miles away. In addition, it can detect the Ku band that is used in a lot of European countries.

The very first Valentine detectors from 1992 look identical to the ones today, and each unit can be sent in to Valentine to be updated with the latest hardware and software.

    Where to Buy

The Valentine One Radar detector ranges in price on the web, from $450-$650. For more information, visit Valentine’s company site.
