It seems like corporations all over the world are finally grabbing on to employee wellness initiatives. Besides having a healthier staff, these same companies and corporations benefit in other ways including lower health care costs and significantly healthier and more productive personnel.

Perhaps one of the more popular and proactive initiatives companies have adopted for their employees are standing desks. Several companies make these, both for home use and office use, but iMovR and there Lander Desk might be the most elegant and sophisticated standing desk out there.

According to iMovR, they spent a significant time creating and developing the Lander Desk. Key to their success has been the product’s easy assembly and it’s dual function as both a standing and sitting apparatus.

    iMovR Lander Desk Features

The coolest part about the iMovR Lander Desk is that it’s app-controlled. The app itself is very intuitive and

overwhelmingly simple. You are actually able to control the height paddle with the app via Bluetooth, or alternatively, you can raise and lower the desk using the height paddle itself, which consists of a two-tap action upwards or downwards on the paddle. Additionally, there are also 4 presets for your favorite positions, and there’s a display on the paddle, which shows the height measurement delta when operating it up or down.

There’s also built in notifications, reminding you to stand at various times during the day. These notifications can be programmed from the smartphone app or from 3 buttons on the paddle, and the notifications will come to you via the hand paddle or on your phone via push notification, whatever you prefer.

The desktop itself has a lift capacity of over 360lbs, is made from an anti-collision material, and the adjustment mechanism moves at 1.6 inches per second, almost silently.

    Customizable

The iMovR Desk is totally, customizable, and the 3D contoured laminated desktop is virtually indestructible. The Lander model comes in 11 colors, including 6 wood grain finishes and 5 solid colors. The desktop also comes in various widths, from 41″ to 83″, and the powder-coated base color options include white, silver or black.

Let’s not forget the accessories. You can choose from a wide variety of monitor arms, sanding mats, casters and keyboard trays. Speaking of keyboard trays, iMovR offers a Trackless Ergonomic Keyboard, which is a breeze to install, or the SteadyType Keyboard for the ultimate in ergonomic typing.

    Out of the Box

The iMovR Lander Desk is shipped in 2 boxes, one for the legs and one for the desktop. Assembly is a breeze, and can be put together in minutes. The iMovR Lander Desk comes pre-assembled with the controller, leg brackets, cables and frame attached to the bottom of the desk.

All that needs to be done is to insert the legs into the leg brackets — fastened by a clamp, connector and plug — turn it back over, and you’re all set up. It literally takes 5 minutes.

Also out of the box includes some protection for your Lander Desk investment, not the least of which is a 10-year warranty on the desk, and a 5-year warranty on the desk top.

    Bottom Line

The iMovR Lander desk is a winner. In fact, we might say it’s arguably the best standing desk you can buy, and certainly the best company to back up its products. A lot of thought went into the iMovR Lander desk, from leading-industry and durable construction, to smart features, to super-easy assembly. It’s all married into a gorgeous, easy-to-use, mechanical standing desk.

Price-wise, it ain’t cheap (starts at $1000), but you get what you pay for, and considering a desk falls into the category of a frequently-used piece of furniture, it’s completely worth it. Let’s not forget that the total-cost-of-ownership for the iMovR Lander Desk is probably far less than cheaper competing products, simply because it will last longer, and withstand the test of heavy use and time.  For more information on the iMovR Lander Desk, visit the company website here.
