    Humminbird 997c SI Combo Sonar GPS Fishing SystemHumminbird has introduced the 997c SI Combo, a side imaging sonar fish finder and external GPS combo device. The unit features a 8-inch 800×480 LCD display, Side Imaging and Dual Beam PLUS sonar with up to 8000 Watts PTP power output, GPS Chart plotting with built-in Uni-Map, and advanced Fishing System capabilities.

    The 997c SI Combo uses revolutionary 800 kHz side-imaging sonar with 180-degree coverage to 360 feet to either side and 150 feet down, as well as Dual Beam PLUS sonar with 20- and 60-degree beams for both wider coverage and better bottom definition down to 1500 feet. It comes with an external, 16-channel WAAS/EGNOS GPS receiver, and a built-in Uni-Map of USA inland lakes, rivers, and coastal areas.

    This unit includes accelerated real time sonar and echo enhancement technology for the instant capture of action and the sensitivity to track a jig to over 70′ with a target separation of 2.5″. The Humminbird 997C SI Combo has a high-speed micro-dynamic transducer, and is reliable up to 70 mph. It also includes water temperature and GPS speed measuring capabilities.

    The Humminbird 997C fish finder includes Bottom Lock to enhance resolution, a one-touch multi-level zoom, programmable view presets, and X-Press Menus so you can quickly access important controls.

    This fish finder has both fresh and saltwater options, instant updates to immediately show setting changes, full screen and 3D chart plotter, and Freeze Frame to pause the display, as well as a man overboard function to track back to that most important of spots. A “Man Overboard” Function quickly adjusts the boat track back to a specific spot with the touch of a button.

    There is PC Connection capability to save way points, and upgrade internal software.  Humminbird also offers an optional 200/50kHz transducer available for deep water applications and depths to 3000 feet.
