    Solar-Breeze 2.O: World’s First Solar-Powered Pool Cleaner

An eco-friendly invention for swimming pools, Solar-Breeze 2.0 is the world’s first and only solar-powered robotic swimming pool cleaner that uses sunlight instead of electricity to effortlessly remove dirt, debris, pollens and even suntan oils from a pool’s surface.

During the day, Solar-Breeze uses the sun’s power to run the motors that drive it across the water while surplus power is used to charge its batteries, enabling it to continue operating long after the sun sets. Advanced PC software controls Solar-Breeze’s overall functions by directing it to areas with the most sunlight, making this product the only intelligent pool skimmer on the market.

    Solar-Breeze 2.0 is available online at www.solar-breeze.com for $499.

World’s Only Solar-Powered Robotic Pool Cleaner, Solar-Breeze, Debuts 2.0 Version

Solar-Breeze Upgrades Include High Energy-Capturing Solar Panels, Latest PC Technology

Phoenix, Ariz. (July 28, 2010) – Solar-Breeze, the world’s first and only solar-powered robotic swimming pool cleaner, debuts its 2.0 version to the market today with upgraded solar features and new advanced technology.

A revolutionary invention that uses sunlight instead of electricity to effortlessly remove dirt, debris, pollens and even suntan oils from the pool’s surface, Solar-Breeze is the only product on the market that uses solar power to clean swimming pools. During the day, Solar-Breeze uses the sun’s power to run the motors that drive the cleaner across the water while surplus power is used to charge its batteries, enabling it to continue operating long after the sun sets. Advanced PC software controls the unit’s overall functions by directing it to areas with the most sunlight, making Solar-Breeze the only intelligent pool skimmer on the market. Solar-Breeze reduces energy bills by up to two-thirds and chemical usage by one-third.

After quickly selling out the original version in 2008 and 2009, the creators of Solar-Breeze enhanced certain features and upgraded the electronic technology to create the 2.0 version. Solar-Breeze 2.0 has solar panels with 300 percent greater output capacity, high efficiency brushless motors for a life of about 30,000 hours, more efficient motors and prolonged operating time.

“Our customers love the fact that their pools are always swim-ready and party-ready,” said Denis Ruzsa, co-inventor of the Solar-Breeze and COO of Solar Pool Technologies. “Solar-Breeze eliminates the need for manual skimming, and the unit pays for itself in the first year by lowering energy costs through reduced pool pump usage.”

Solar-Breeze was invented to solve the everyday hassle of manually skimming pools. When he envisioned his invention, Ruzsa knew there had to be a way to utilize the large amount of sunlight as a power source to clean pools instead of relying on an electrical pool cleaner. He secured a patent and worked for years to perfect Solar-Breeze, which debuted to the market in 2008.

Swimming pools are the second largest consumer of electricity in the home after air conditioning. By using solar energy to operate, Solar-Breeze can reduce a pool’s energy bill by up to two-thirds. The robotic cleaner also has a chlorine dispenser that releases chlorine at the current time and quantity, reducing chlorine usage by an average of one-third. Solar-Breeze 2.0 is currently available online at www.solar-breeze.com for $499. Visit www.solar-breeze.com/dealers for a complete list of retailers and locations.
