BlackBerry PlayBook will run Android apps

According to very reliable sources, the BlackBerry PlayBook run Android applications. Previous rumors indicated that the PlayBook might run the Java VM Dalvik, but later it was reported that RIM might be looking for other options. Bloomberg is reporting that RIM won’t be using Dalvik, but is looking elsewhere. This boasts well for RIM’s future, as the the ability to run over 130,000 Android applications on a BlackBerry smartphones and PlayBooks is, to say the least, a big feather in their cap.
