    NEC LifeTouch Note Android Netbook

I just don’t know about the future of this one.  The new NEC LifeTouch Note Android Netbook is cool and unique, sporting a 7-inch screen, Android 2.2 and is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 250 Mobile Processor.   But is there a market for this?  The alleged pricepoint and the fact that it runs a mobile OS would suggest, ‘not so much’.

When it does launch it will be available in three different models: 3G, Wifi and 8GB of storage; WiFi only; and WiFi and 4GB of storage.  The screen has a 800×480 resolution, is LED backlight and is touch resistive.  There is also an accelerometer, SD card slot, 2-megapixel camera and GPS.

The NEC LifeTouch Note weighs 699 grams, or 1.54lbs, on par with Apple’s iPad.  Pricing is not certain, but rumors suggest somewhere in the neighborhood of $500-600.

What do you think about an Android-styled netbook?  Send us your comments.
