Microsoft held its annual MIX conference in Las Vegas, and Joe Belfiore, Windows Phone director showed all Microsoft’s new Internet Explorer 9 mobile browser and how well it can render HTML5 websites. He pitted his demo and his browser against iPhone 4 and Google Nexus S. Belfiore was so confident in the new browser that he gave the iPhone 4 a head start. His Windows phone topped out at 20 frames per second, the Nexus S a second at 11 frames per second, and then the iPhone 4 at a miserable 2 frames per second.
