Nikon Preparing Android-Powered Camera

Nikon apparently is gearing up to debut its first Android powered compact camera, reportedly called the Coolpix S800 or S800c.   According to reports, the camera will be equipped with a 3.5-inch OLED display and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The device will also supposedly feature a 25-250mm zoom lens, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, and it will have access to the Google Play store.  While a revolution in phone cameras, Polaroid actually introduced the SC1630 Smart Camera at CES this year, however, it hasn’t made its way to market at this point.  It’s rumored that Nikon will unveil the Coolpix S800 on August 22nd.
