    5 Best Apps — A Stylist’s Picks

In today’s world, there is a mobile/tablet app for literally everything — including myriad options for style inspiration. Here are the ones I can’t live without:

    1. Instagram
As a style blogger, my all-time favorite app for fashion inspiration is Instagram. It’s also a way for me to connect with fashionistas from around the world. I’m a bit of an “Insta-stalker,” following style bloggers on Instagram like The Glamourai and Kelly Golightly and brands like Free People, BCBG Max Azria and Nasty Gal.

    2. Pose
Pose is an app for the uber fashionista inside the everyday girl or woman. It features “outfit of the day” pics and videos from style bloggers, fashionistas, models and fashion icons from around the world. Many “Posers” highlight the brand they’re wearing so if there’s a pair of sexy ankle-strap heels you’re dying to buy, an avid Poser will most likely have them tagged in a picture. How cool is that?

    3. YouTube
This is one of the best apps for when I’m in a pinch. I’ll type in a question like, “How do I create the perfect bun?” (I found such an easy way to create a sock bun on the Mr. Kate channel that I followed up with a video of myself making the bun.) I also have a YouTube channel featuring my own style advice, and I follow other YouTubers who share tips styling, makeup and hair.

    4. Stylebook
Stylebook is a paid app ($3.99). It has some great features, from snapping photos of what’s in your closet to creating looks that you can store, making it easier to remember how you paired certain pieces. It’s basically a catalog of what you own and also lets you plan outfits on a calendar so you don’t repeat the same look twice in one week!

    5. Pinterest
Although I’m super into fashion, I get a lot of inspiration from decor and design on Pinterest. The way a designer styles a room with color, patterns and texture can give you some great ideas on putting together outfits. I’m obsessed with Mr. Goodwill Hunting, The Coveteur and The Designer Pad’s Pins.
