Where to Sell Your Products in 2014 and Beyond (InfoGraphic)

This latest infographic, from Amazing Academy, gives you shocking insights into the global world of selling products online…

    Here’s what they found…

-First, Amazon is still a huge player (obvious)… but what was NOT obvious to us is the sneaky Amazon country property lurking across the pond: Amazon.de (Germany).
-At over $10 billion in 2013 revenue, Amazon.de is larger than Amazon UK (.co.uk) and Amazon Canada (.ca) COMBINED (WOW). Definitely worth watching out for.
-Next, while we “know it”, we don’t really see it… the huge size of ecommerce in China…  Alibaba.com, the parent company of ecommerce juggernauts Taobao and Tmall, had over $248 billion in transaction volume in 2013…. C-R-A-Z-Y (especially considering Amazon.com, Inc. “only” did $74 billion).
-Next, one of the other major insights from looking at this data is that there is still a MASSIVE amount of sales occurring on smaller sites… stores like the ones you and I can build and use to market physical products we want to sell online.
-The size of “All Other Retailers” (excluding the mega marketplaces)? $851 billion (just short of a trillion dollars).
