Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz REVIEW

Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz gives you 30,000 flashes per cartridge

Hair is definitely not IN, not for women, nor is it desirable for men either these days. As a consequence, home hair removal products are extremely popular, and one of the leading brands out there is Remington, due to their affordability and their dependable function.

The latest Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz is an improved version of their popular IPL6000, so you’re getting the i-Light Pro + the Pro Plus in one machine called the Remington Quartz – IPL6000Q. The differentiators here are the Quartz bulb and updated technology, including a built-in skin color sensor, which the device uses to automatically check skin tone compatibility so your skin isn’t damaged.

Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz is FDA approved

The Pro Plus Quartz uses Intensed Pulsed Light Technology (IPL), versus laser.  IPL technology is FDA approved, and is similar to the technology used by doctors and hair removal professionals. It is also clinically proven to reduce hair growth.

The Quartz is made from lightweight material, which makes it a breeze to use. Other machines are heavy, and can be a chore to lift, especially the head. The Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz system, while sporting a pretty large head, is still very light and allows you to cover quite a bit of skin in less time than other machines.

The Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz also has a power cord and doesn’t have to be constantly recharged. When you are treating small parts of your body, a battery operated unit is not a big deal, but when you’re doing larger areas like your back or legs, charging every half-hour can get irritating, and makes the entire process extremely laborious.  With the Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz, you can treat various parts of your physique as long as you like, and with haste.

Additionally, the Quartz has a fast flash rate, meaning much quicker operation and treatment. For example, you can treat your underarms and bikini line in less than 20 minutes.

Finally, the Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz works with all types of skin colors and tones. In fact, it’s miles ahead of like-laser devices in treating various skin tones because it specializes in a wide range of skin colors, from light brown to ivory to darker tones.

    Quartz Matters

The Remington Quartz works using a a cartridge. Normal cartridges, including the standard i-Light Pro, gives out around 15,000 flashes, but the Quartz doubles that with 30,000 flashes per cartridge before needing replaced. This is obviously an advantage, both for use and for maintenance costs. So, as an example, you could probably get through your legs and underarms with one bulb, and you might not have to touch anything up for another six months.  Cartridges run around $30.

    Performance

The Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz works very well, and does what it says it’s going to do — remove hair without discomfort. And the hair removal lasts, sometimes allowing you to go half a year without treating the same area again.  It’s also very easy to use, both with its operation and the light weight construction. The Quartz model, in particular, can even deliver permanent results in 3 sessions, compared to the 6-8 sessions with the Remington I-Light Pro.

Cost and Bottom LineRemington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz uses cartridge

The Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz ($399) costs more than the standard Remington i-Light Pro (around $250), but paying the little extra upfront, you pay less in cartridge replacements as the Quartz cartridges last up to 30,000 flashes compared to the 15,000 flashes from the I-Light Pro. It also seems that the Quartz model is more effective in removing hair, both initially and long-term. If you’re looking for a recommendation, we’d have to endorse the Quartz model. It’s better made, has a tad more sophisticated esthetics, works more efficiently, and its cost-per-ownership is, ironically, less expensive than other models.

The Remington i-Light Pro Plus Quartz is a winner.
