The Hoverboard Is Still At Play

While the actual release of a hoverboard seemed improbable as fans of the Back to the Future franchise had their “if only” moment, the Hendo hoverboard allowed fans a glimpse into the future with their Hendo Hoverboard in 2014. It was only fitting that the board is tested by the biggest name in skateboarding, Tony Hawk, as legends combine to create the ultimate experience. While there were still some fundamental flaws and kinks that needed to be worked out, the Hendo board gave developers that boost the needed to  put their best work out there.
    Can We Tesla It?
When there’s cutting-edge technology at play, it’s only natural for Tesla to hop on board and develop their own gear. A recent video surfaced of a hoverboard controlled by an interface with the Tesla branding. The board is seen doing some pretty neat stuntwork until you start noticing the CGI errors. While the video might be a fake, the founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, also happens to be the CEO of SpaceX, where dabbling in hover technology is definitely being explored. The concept of a Tesla hoverboard is not as farfetched as critics make it seem, as the eccentric entrepreneur also let it slip that the  hover car might be on the cards
From Recreational To Actual Mode Of Transport
One of the key areas of development for the hoverboard, would be to move it from the  teenage and young adult sphere into that of the everyday user. In a bid to create carbon-neutral cities, the hoverboard and other hover technology will make a substantial difference to traffic, especially places that experience high levels of congestion.  As stated by Hover Patrol, current technology already sees users tackle uneven terrain, which was previously a major obstacle for hoverboards. These boards are easily integrated with apps to ensure a smoother ride as users can adjust certain settings as the environment changes.

    Taking It Into Retail Cross-Sell
While the hoverboard is slowly building up its popularity thanks to improved stability and movement, there are other benefits to having a board. Manufacturers are constantly testing ways to allow the boards to have multiple purposes, such as attachments that allow children to  turn their hoverboard in go-karts. The technology will slowly flesh out to provide users with more flexibility.
While the initial hype around the hoverboard might have died down, there is a fresh resurgence as technology improves and developers work together to make the boards more user-friendly, stable, and maneuverable.
