The H2O Audio Interval Swim Headphones for Apple Watch is designed by H2O Audio, a company that’s based in San Diego, California. H2O Audio develops accessories for portable media players, counting with over 15 years of experience developing waterproof products for swimmers. During 2008, H2O Audio was one of the top 500 fastest growing companies in the United States.

Now, let’s take a look at everything that the H2O Audio Interval Swim Headphones for Apple Watch has to offer.

The H2O Audio Interval Swim Headphones are designed to get the most out of the Apple Watch while swimming. This Audio system is relatively small and fully waterproof, meaning you can even use its simple, multi-action 3-button interface when going underwater (more on its interface later). It’s super easy to attach your Apple Watch to the Interval, as you’ll see later in the article. The system is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 2, 3, 4 and 5, fitting all Apple Watch sizes (38mm, 40mm, 42mm and 44mm).

The Interval Swim Headphones’ design features 2 horizontal metal pins (one at the upper part and one at the lower part), which are attached to each of your Apple Watch’s groves. The picture embedded below shows an example of the installation.

After snapping your Apple Watch onto the system, it is also extremely easy to attach the Interval Swim Headphones to your swimming goggles, taking you only a few minutes to get everything up and running. The Interval Swim Headphones features a simple “double-hook” design (found on the sides), making it easy for you to attach the Interval to any pair of swimming goggles.

To attach the Interval to your swimming goggle just gently stretch your goggles’ strap and slide it through the bottom of the hooks. You should end up with your goggles’ strap right behind your Apple Watch.

The Interval Swim Headphones system for the Apple Watch comes with built-in waterproof Surge S+ headphones – meaning they are non-removable – that are equipped with neodymium drivers.

Recharging the Interval is fairly simple. All you have to do is open its USB port cover (located at the back of the device, on the lower right side), and connect the Interval to the included Micro USB Charging Cable. After that, the Interval’s LED indicator will light up with a bright Red color while it’s charging, having its LED color changing to Blue when reaching a full charge.

The Interval Swim Headphones use a Bluetooth 5.0 chipset for audio clarity and streaming reliability.

Connecting the Interval Swim Headphones to your Apple via Bluetooth 5.0 is extremely easy. All you have to do is go to your Apple Watch Settings and select Bluetooth. After that your Apple Watch will start searching for any other nearby Bluetooth devices. Then all you have to do is press and hold the center button of the Interval (needs to be Powered Off) for around 8 seconds, and the Bluetooth pairing will be established.

Inside each H2O Audio Interval Swim Headphones package users will find: one Interval Swim Headphones system (with built-in Surge S+ headphones), one included Micro USB Charging Cable, and a total of 8 earplug sets in 2 different styles (5 classic ear tip sets in different sizes (XS-XL) and 3 “tree” tip sets in different sizes (S-L)).

Pressing and holding the center button (also known as a “Long Press”) for a couple of seconds allows you to turn the Interval On or Off. Tapping the center button (performing a “Short-Press”) allows you to play or pause your music. As state before (on the Connectivity section), the center button is also used to enter the Bluetooth Pairing Mode.

If your Apple Watch has cellular connection, double clicking the center button will initiate a call to your last dialed phone number.

(-) Button (Left Side) and (+) Button (Right Side)

Short-Pressing or tapping either of these buttons will allow you to reduce (- button) or increase (+ button) the Interval’s volume. Long-Pressing or tapping either of the buttons will allow you to skip a track backwards (- button) or forward (+ button).

If you want to know more on how to setup and use the Interval Swim Headphones, the company’s Quick Start Guide Video will teach you everything you need to know.
