Renogy E.TUNES – Solar Powered Portable Bluetooth Speaker & Power Charger

For any outdoors enthusiast that enjoys listening to their favorite tunes while they’re out exploring “Mother Nature”, having a reliable portable Bluetooth speaker is exactly what will allow them to jam to some nice songs during their outdoors adventures. However, if they decide to go with any standard battery-powered portable Bluetooth speaker, that basically means that they’ll either have to take a charged portable power bank to keep their Bluetooth speaker’s battery up and running or ultimately accept the fact that once their Bluetooth speaker is out of battery the music fun is simply over. That is, unless they have something like the Renogy E.TUNES of course.

The Renogy E.TUNES (Emergency Edition) is a high-quality solar powered Bluetooth speaker that was designed by Renogy, a renowed renewable energy tech. company that’s known for supplying the best solar products on the market today.

The Renogy E.TUNES Solar Powered Bluetooth Speaker is compact, lightweight, and extremely portable, and also comes equipped with a 5000mah Lithium-Ion battery that not only allows the speaker to guarantee you get a daily 10 hours of playtime, but also empowers the E.TUNES to double as a powerful and reliable power bank that lets you charge your Smartphone at your convenience.

As such, it combines the best of both worlds – a portable battery that can be recharged by the sun – which basically ensures that the fun never has to end, even if the sun has already set, ultimately allowing you to bring your favorite tracks with you wherever you decide to go next.

On top of all of that, the speaker even comes equipped with a built-in side light with SOS Mode (Flashing Mode) in case of emergencies.

Now, let’s take a more detailed look at the Renogy E.TUNES and see what this portable solar powered Bluetooth speaker is packing “under the hood” so that we can understand everything that it can really do.

    DESIGN & SPECS

First of all, right after taking a brief look at the speaker, we can see that the Renogy E.TUNES is a somewhat small portable solar powered Bluetooth speaker, as the unit features a very compact design, measuring just 5.9 inches long by 5.9 inches wide by 1.77 inches tall.

Furthermore, as the E.TUNES was also designed with portability and its users’ listening experience in mind, the unit was also designed to be extremely lightweight, and as such, it’s protected by a highly durable silicone case that ensures the protection of its internal components (amplifier, dual passive radiators, dual speakers, etc.) against any unexpected bumps or drops. As such, the entire unit weighs less than two pounds – 1.37 lbs. to be exact.

As this is a solar powered Bluetooth speaker, the E.TUNES also comes equipped with a small, yet super reliable built-in solar panel that allows for on-the-go charging, and as such, it can very conveniently keep its internal battery charged during each and every sunny day, which ultimately makes this speaker perfect for daytime outdoors adventures.

The speaker also comes equipped with an integrated carrying strap that makes it easier for users to carry the device around (but ultimately, the unit can also be carried inside pretty much any backpack, even smaller backpacks with small front/side pockets, etc.)

Lastly, the speaker is also completely splash-proof (be aware that doesn’t mean it is fully waterproof, it’s just splash-proof), as it is rated IPX5 Splash Proof, which basically means that the unit is resistant to water splashes from any direction, allowing it to resist a short, weak and sustained, low-pressure water spray. (This makes it fully protected against VERY WEAK rainy days – days where the rain is barely an issue.)

    AUDIO COMPONENTS & AUDIO QUALITY

Moving on to the Renogy E.TUNES’ internal audio components, the speaker comes equipped with a lossless audio, low frequency tracking, anti-breaking amplifier that ensures its users always get an impeccable sound quality. While this is obviously not your “at-home” smart speaker, the unit still delivers a great sound quality. Let’s say that the highs (treble) are there, the mids (mid-range sounds) are more than noticeable and the lows (bass) is more than present.

The unit also comes equipped with dual passive radiators that ensure you always get an improved bass effect for the best possible music experience.

Lastly, the unit also comes equipped with two built-in 5W speakers that can produce a maximum of ≥85DB of sound (combined). The Renogy E.TUNES features a Dynamic Frequency Range that goes all the way from 80HZ – 18kHZ.

    CONNECTIVITY

While the Renogy E.TUNES speaker features Bluetooth 4.2 Connectivity with a maximum wireless connectivity range of 33 ft. to seamlessly stream your music anywhere, users can also connect their Smartphone to the E.TUNES’s Aux port by using the included AUX cord for a wired-in music experience.

As such, you can use the Renogy E.TUNES however you prefer. Either play your favorite jams by connecting your Smartphone to the speaker via Bluetooth or by using its included AUX cable.

    BATTERY & BATTERY LIFE

As mentioned before, the E.TUNES also comes equipped with a powerful and large capacity built-in 5000mah Lithium-Ion battery that can offer up to 10 hours of playtime when having the speaker playing songs at normal volume, or up to 4 hours at maximum volume.

Furthermore and as mentioned earlier, thanks to its built-in 5000mah Lithium-Ion battery, the E.TUNES can also double as a powerful and reliable portable power bank that can be used to conveniently recharge your Smartphone’s battery via its included USB Charging Cable (which will be connected directly to the speakers USB Charging Port) while you’re outside exploring the outdoors.
