Apple announces new iPhone 13 lineup, 9th Gen iPad and Apple Watch 7

Just recently, Apple announced a new iPhone 13 lineup, a new 9th Generation iPad and a brand-new Apple Watch 7 during its latest Apple Event.

In sum, for its new iPhone 13 lineup, the world’s most valuable company launched a total of four (x4) new 5G-enabled iPhones. Additionally, Apple also unveiled an array of refreshes to some of its most popular devices, including the iPad as well as the Apple Watch.

Embedded below, you can find the full Official Video for Apple’s most recent Apple Event, which was hosted online.

So, let’s briefly talk about the new improvements and the most important features of each of these brand-new Apple devices.

    iPhone 13 lineup

Starting with Apple’s new iPhone 13 lineup, we have a total of four new iterations for Apple’s famous Smartphone. Those are the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are the two most affordable devices from Apple’s newest flagship iPhones, as they’re being sold alongside the more expensive iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. To put it simply, the iPhone 13 and 13 mini are ideal for those who don’t require professional-level camera features.

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini – Design

Specifically for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, both phones come packing beautiful designs that are nearly identical to the iPhone 12 models, featuring those same flat edges, as well as an aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure, a glass back, and a slight increase in thickness (around 7.65 mm).

This sleek design is then combined with an incredible durability thanks to a Ceramic Shield Front Cover, as well as with an industry-leading IP68 rating for water resistance. The new 6.1-inch iPhone 13 is just slightly larger than the also-new 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini.

Apple’s brand-new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini are also manufactured to offer their users a industry-leading performance, which is all thanks to Apple’s new A15 Bionic chip, which comes integrated in a system-on-a-chip in-house design.

Thanks to this more efficient A15 chip, battery life has also improved significantly for these newer and slightly larger batteries, meaning that there’s also a big jump in battery life. This ensures that you can always depend on the new iPhone 13 whenever you need it, and that goes for all four models.

For the iPhone 13, users are offered up to 2.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 12. For the iPhone 13 mini, you’re offered about up to 1.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 12 mini.

For the connectivity on these four new iPhone 13 models, all devices support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 Connectivity, as well as 5G Connectivity, of course. In addition, all iPhone 13 models also include a U1 Ultra Wideband chip for spatial awareness.

Last but not least, all of these four (x4) brand-new 5G-enabled iPhones from Apple’s new iPhone 13 lineup also boast the most advanced Dual-Lens Rear Camera System that has ever been seen on an iPhone device, and this innovative Dual-Camera System can offer you “impressive computational photography” features.

Basically, these new iPhone 13 devices come equipped with a new 12 Megapixel Wide and Ultra Wide Dual-Camera Setup that features bigger pixels and sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS), thus making these new Smartphones capable of offering users improvements in low-light photos and videos, as well as giving users a brand-new way to personalize the camera with Photographic Styles.

There’s also a Video Recording functionality called “Cinematic Mode” that brings a new dimension to video storytelling by allowing users to hold focus on a subject even when they are moving. All iPhone 13 models also support 4K video recording at up to 60 fps.

All of this comes running smoothly on iOS 15 and it is also combined with privacy built-in, ultimately making both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini a great choice of Smartphone for you to go with.

Specifically for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, these two higher-end devices are geared towards gamers and video buffs, as both Pro models feature a five-core graphics processor that Apple said was the “fastest” of any smartphone.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be available in a unique color model called PRODUCT RED, as well as in Starlight White, Midnight Black, Blue and Pink.

Prices start at $699 with double the entry-level storage at 128GB, and can go as high as $1,499 for a 6.7-inch model with 1TB of storage. Pre-orders begin this Friday, September 17, and availability will begin the week after, starting from Friday, September 24.

    9th Generation iPad

Now, for Apple’s brand-new 9th Generation iPad, this 10.2-inch iPad features Apple’s slightly older A13 Bionic, Center Stage, True Tone, and now starts with double the storage, all at an incredible value.

As its display, we have a 10.2-inch Retina Display Screen with True Tone. Additionally, above this new iPad’s 10.2-inch Display, we also have a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage.

There’s also support for Apple Pencil (1st generation) and compatibility with a Smart Keyboard. Everything comes running on Apple’s iPadOS 15.

As said before, there’s twice the storage space of the previous generation (8th Gen), which just makes this newer model so much better, and much more worth to go for.

For its price-tag, the lowest values start at just $329, but this will obviously depend on secondary specs, like your chosen storage space. Just like Apple’s new iPhone 13 lineup, its new 9th Gen iPad is already available for pre-ordering starting from this Friday, September 17, and the device will also be available in stores beginning Friday, September 24.

    Apple Watch 7

Lastly, we also have Apple’s newly announced Apple Watch Series 7, which now features a re-engineered Always-On Retina display, for which compared to previous Apple Watch generations, now has significantly more screen area and slightly thinner borders, thus making it the largest and most advanced display on an Apple Watch to this date.

These slightly narrower borders is what ultimately allows the display on the Apple Watch 7 to achieve a maximized screen area, while minimally changing the dimensions of the watch itself.

For the outer design, we have refined, softer, and more rounded corners, with this newer display featuring a unique refractive edge that makes full-screen watch faces and Apps appear to seamlessly connect with the sleek curvature of the Apple Watch 7’s case.

Not only that, but the newly announced Apple Watch Series 7 is also the most durable Apple Watch ever, now coming equipped with a stronger and more crack-resistant front crystal. This is also the very first Apple Watch to have an IP6X certification for resistance to dust, while still maintaining the same WR50 Water Resistance Rating from the previous generation (meaning the Apple Watch Series 6).

The new Apple Watch 7 also features a user interface that’s optimized for its now slightly larger display, and this U.I. offers users better readability and ease of use, with all that coming together with two brand-new unique watch faces — Contour and Modular Duo — which were designed specifically for this new Apple Watch Series 7 and its slightly larger display.

While there are indeed a few improvements to the display, users can still be assured to benefit from the same all-day 18-hour battery life, which is now complemented by 33 percent Faster Charging, which is also great to see here.

Just as expected from Apple, who’s been heavily focusing on several Health Tracking Features lately, its brand-new Apple Watch 7 also continues to offer the same indispensable tools for health and wellness. These tools include an electrical heart sensor and ECG App, as well as a Blood Oxygen sensor and App. Everything comes running on watchOS 8, which helps users to stay healthy, active, and connected through new workout types via the new Mindfulness App.

The Apple Watch Series 7 also features a new and innovative QWERTY keyboard that can be either tapped or swiped with QuickPath, basically allowing users to simply slide a finger to type their messages, which makes the whole process much easier, and obviously, much faster.

Last but not least, there’s a greater and much easier access to Apple Wallet, and users also have a few more capabilities via the Home App, all coming along with a few enhancements to the system’s Messages and the Photos App.

The Apple Watch Series 7 will come in five new gorgeous aluminum case finishes, which can be chosen along with a range of new band colors and styles.

The Apple Watch Series 7 will start at $399. However, unlike the rest of Apple’s newly announced iPhone 13 lineup and new 9th Gen iPad, the entire Apple Watch Series 7 lineup will only be available later this fall.
