What Are the Best New Gadgets in 2022?

Esquire, T3, Popular Mechanics, Electronics 360, Stuff and other publications track and rate the newest gadgets on the market, giving awards to the best of the bunch.

While personally, we love the Sloto casino games, let’s explore some of the new gadgets that have received awards this year.

Philips 3200 Series Espresso Machine with LatteGo

Esquire gives the Philips 3200 Series Espresso Machine with LatteGo high marks for providing a coffee machine that allows you to make a barista-level, well-crafted cup of coffee with little effort. With this machine, you can brew your cup of coffee, pull espresso shots and steam milk for a latte.

The easy-to-read screen walks the user through every step, making it easy to make a gourmet cup of coffee in minutes.

In fact, this coffee and espresso machine does everything by itself. It makes five different types of coffee including regular coffee, espresso, Americano, latte macchiato and cappuccino.

The espresso comes out hot and creamy with a nice froth on top and if you like double shots you can rely on getting perfect doubles, not just double long shots. You can also customize with different bean grinds, various pH levels and varying coffee strengths.

    MiniBrew CRAFT Home Brewing Kit

Micro-breweries are popping up all over but if you want to try some micro-micro brewing, check out the MiniBrew CRAFT Home Brewing Kit which earned a place on ScienceFocus’s list of best gadgets of 2022.

There are many people who might like to try their hand at brewing some beer but the intricacies of doing so overwhelm them.

Those are the people who will enjoy MiniBrew CRAFT home brewing machine which gives the nuts and bolts of making a few liters of your favorite brew easy and user-friendly.

The Craft is an all-in-one microbrewery: the one gadget mashes, boils, ferments and conditions. When the beer is ready you can serve it from the same keg that you used to prepare the beer. Throughout the process, the temperature is accurately controlled so your results will be consistent.

The CRAFT allows you to make 5 liters at a time. More experienced users can create more elaborate beers.

    Dyson Omni-Glide

Dyson has made a name for itself as the top manufacturer of vacuum cleaners on the market and their new Omni-Glide is the best yet. It’s a lightweight, sleek and swift upright stick vacuum with multiple innovative features that make it easier than ever to keep your floors clean.

The pivoting brush head gets into the hardest-to-reach nooks and corners to suck up debris on any hardwood or tile floor. Even the finest dust doesn’t elude the black carbon fibre filaments of the vacuum which picks up dust in all directions as you move the vacuum back, forth and sideways.

No more getting down on your hands and knees either to get into the hard-to-reach spaces – the narrow cleaner head reaches spaces as small as 20.7cm.

    Moen Smart Faucet

Smart technology made its way to the kitchen a long time ago with smart refrigerators, ovens, coffee machines, ice makers and even cocktail mixers. Now the Moen Smart Faucet is available so you can enjoy hands-free operation when you need some water from the tap.

The faucet is easy to install and supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice commands. The Moen Smart Faucet mobile app allows you to pre-set the amount of water that you want to come out of the faucet at any set time.

There’s a pull-down, auto-retracting nozzle that toggles between four spray settings – Boosted Rinse, Cleaning Rinse, Boosted Stream and Aerated Stream.

Water temperature and volume are controlled by the handle and there’s a LED indicator and wave sensor that changes color to indicate the water temperature (red when hot water is being dispensed, blue when the water is cold and red + blue for lukewarm.

You can track your water usage using the app. The Moen Smart Faucet turns on and off when you wave your hand in front of the sensor. It is battery-powered.

Thermacell LIV Smart Mosquito Repellent System

Regardless of how advanced our society advances technologically, some things never change. One of those is the utter frustration of being driven indoors by mosquitos that live in almost every climate and come out at every season.

In South Carolina, the mosquito is known as the unofficial state bird but people suffer in everywhere. CRN  has nominated the Thermacell LIV Smart Mosquito Repellent System as one of the best gadgets of 2022 because there finally seems to be something that might keep the pesky bugs away.

The system isn’t cheap but the reviews indicate that it may work – though in a limited way. The system heats up a small mat that is soaked in repellent so it can diffuse a zone of protection around you. That zone limits its effectiveness as well as the time it takes to manually turn the system on and wait for the protection to begin to work.

But if you know that you want to sit outside at a certain hour and plan to stay in a certain range, the anti-mosquito repellant system may help you keep your sanity as the mosquitos buzz around you.
