unidice – Smart Digital Dice powered by advanced technology w/ Touch Haptics

The Revolution of the Digital Dice

A traditional gaming device evolves into a smart, adaptive gaming console

The unidice represents the vision of the ultimate gaming device that connects gamers, students, developers, artists and creators – or just people in need of of daily helper. It has been created with one goal: a simple device that is applicable for all purposes – or at least most- to bring people of all ages and interests together.

So unidice GmbH chose the most intuitive concept to create a smart, adaptive gaming console: the dice.

    Tech

To make this versatility possible the unidice can access the wonders of the digital world via bluetooth. It brings the expansive visual world behind the screen into the world of touch – being an actual object with six digital displays you can interact with.

The unidice reacts to Tap, Roll and Tilt, therefore creating an entirely new experience for people of all ages and interests.

    The Unidice App

The unidice will be released with a basic app so you can customize its displays to your liking. For example, the digital die can simulate D6, D20, D42 – this includes impossible dice, such as a D17. You just need to create a skin set, select a dice number for each face and a dice skin of your choice. It is even possible to upload your own unique designs or photos using the unidice App.

With these basic functions, every user can customize and expand content of the unidice with just a few taps and create their own world with this dice.

In the application, you can even set the unidice to trigger sounds with dice results, adding a new level of immersion to traditional board games.

    Unidice Games

The unidice company is currently developing a variety of unidice applications. For Tabletop gamers, the unidices Fantasies App can automate many tedious calculations, rules and tracking progress.

Roleplayers can look forward to using a Bluetooth dice, that can immediately implement the needed character values by drawing the information from their filled in character sheet. And you can adjust the unidice to almost every Tabletop system.

But unidice not only automates rules, it creates entirely new experiences. The developers are working on diverse games for the gaming community: A 3D gaming console experience.  In “Cyberrun” – a roguelite sci fi adventure for Solo and Co-op Players – the unidice is used like a customizable dice deck that you interact with – to use items and abilities in encounters.

The unidice also introduces dice mechanics into the world of Hidden Role Games in “House of Influence”. In this team vs. team bluffing game, the unidice tracks the game progress and the players roll characters with abilities – that can used for or against other players. And there are many more applications to come: Casual games, Learning apps, puzzles and riddles for all ages, which can also be implemented into Roleplaying games.

    SDK

Unidice Gmbh also provides an SDK, compatible with Unity Engine for the unidice, so everyone can create THEIR OWN games. As a company of fellow gamers who want to share their vision, they want to build a creative, fun community that connects creators, gamers and developers alike.

The unidice will soon be available on Kickstarter for up to 50% off the retail price, starting at 99$ for early birds.
