Spending a day at the beach is all about relaxation, but you shouldn’t forget to protect yourself from the sun. A beach umbrella gives you a cool, shaded space where you stay comfortable in the heat while protecting your skin from harmful UV rays. However, if the wind gets stronger, your standard beach umbrella will probably not last a long time. Most lower-end models are made with lightweight materials and flimsy poles that tend to bend or break under pressure. Their anchors are also not built to withstand strong gusts, which more often than not, cause your umbrella to go flying down the beach. For a beach umbrella that can reliably stay in place against high winds, go with the beachBUB ClearWater Family Vacation Model, which stands out as one of the best options on the market.
The beachBUB ClearWater Family Vacation Model is an all-in-one beach umbrella system that features a large 7.5-foot canopy built of commercial-grade PA coated fabric that provides plenty of shade for two people with a UPF rating of 50+, a sturdy frame combining a 1.5mm thick 2-piece aluminum pole and six 10mm fiberglass frame ribs, plus a sand-filled bag base that holds up to 125 lbs. of sand, which makes it capable of withstanding wind speeds of up to 44.4 mph.
It also comes with a carrying bag, a towel hook collar, a sand scoop shovel, and a sand gopher tool for easily digging a hole in the sand for its umbrella pole.
Designed for durability and ease of use, this all-in-one beach umbrella system and dependable, making it the perfect beach umbrella for all beachgoers.
Here’s our review of the beachBUB ClearWater Family Vacation Model, where we talk more about the unique features that set it apart from your standard beach umbrella.
DESIGN & SPECS
Starting with the umbrella’s size, this all-in-one beach umbrella system comes equipped with a large 7.5-foot canopy that provides a fairly wide shade, offering enough space to comfortably accommodate two people lying on beach towels or sitting on beach chairs.

The beachBUB ClearWater Family Vacation Model also sports a stylish, beach-inspired design, with its canopy coming in a flat color, for which there are multiple color options to choose from (discussed at the end of the article).
This beach umbrella system also packs a very durable and high-quality construction. Its canopy is built from 220G commercial-grade PA coated beach fabric. This material is thicker and significantly stronger than that found on cheaper beach umbrellas.

Not only that, but its canopy also has a UPF rating of 50+, meaning it can effectively block around 98% of UV rays, even on the sunniest days.
To hold up its canopy, the beachBUB ClearWater comes equipped with a sturdy frame that integrates a 1.5mm thick 2-piece aluminum pole, along with six frame ribs at the top built from stout, 10mm-thick fiberglass poles that won’t bend like thin aluminum ones do.

Its frame ribs have triple-layered, independently sewn pockets and reinforced stitching at all stress points of its canopy.
They also feature a three-piece hub design that makes them capable of withstanding over 400 lbs. of pulling force, which effectively eliminates the chances of the umbrella flipping inside out. This unique design choice ultimately helps keep its canopy open at all times, even under heavy-wind conditions.
At its base, this all-in-one beach umbrella system features a sand-filled bag base that can hold up to 125 lbs. of sand, which, according to beachBUB, makes it capable of withstanding wind speeds of up to 44.4 mph. This is more than what most people are willing to tolerate anyways.

Its bag-base is also rated to be compliant with the ASTM F3681-24 Beach Umbrella Safety Standard for securing an umbrella in winds up to 30 mph (video example below). In fact, BeachBUB states it actually exceeds this safety standard by 160% when the umbrella’s bag base is filled up properly.
Despite its heavy-duty construction, this beach umbrella is still quite portable, as it only weighs 9 lbs.
Plus, it also comes with a carrying bag that’s equipped with a comfortable shoulder strap with extra padding that makes it comfortable to carry on your shoulder. Just like its canopy, the umbrella’s carry bag also has reinforced stitching all around.

It also comes with a handy towel hook accessory that offers you a convenient way to hang your towel.
HOW TO USE?
The beachBUB ClearWater Family Vacation Model also offers you a simple and straightforward set up.
Firstly, make a hole in the sand with the included sand gopher tool and place the umbrella pole in the hole.
After that, attach two sides of the beachBUB to the hooks on the collar, and then fill up the umbrella’s bag base with sand.
Use your foot to compact down the sand your loading into the umbrella’s bag base and keep filling it until it’s considerably full.
Once its bag base is full, simply attach the last side of its cover to the collar and top up the sand.
