The LCD screen (IHD) is used for displaying your energy usage and is designed to help you be more in touch with what energy you might wasting.

The LCD screen on the front is touch sensitive and the device is capable of communicating with smart meters over a wireless 801.11 connection. This allows for users to see instantly how much gas or electricity they are using at any given point in time.

By seeing live information about what’s happening in your home at any given time it allows you to keep a close eye on what’s happening when you have several appliances running and allows you to reduce your peak energy demand. Savings can potentially be made by cutting out waste that you didn’t expect to see.

With the built-in 802.11 Wi-Fi interface, the SilverSTAT 7 can successfully communicate with a home network and internet services. It hosts useful smart gadgets to enhance the convenience of daily tasks with attractive features including streaming photos, music and content direct from and from the PC. Through Windows technology, users can control their digital universe with access to email, stock prices, real-time weather forecasting, billing and price schedules for energy providers and more!
