Handcase Launches Mobile Search Engine GUNE

Handcase is launching a new mobile search system called Gune. Gune is a system of meta-search, which searches other sites and generates a single page of results, optimized for small screen phones and smartphones. The websites consulted by the Gune are: Google and Bing.

Gune makes the only mobile search, with results on one page, and subsequently puts it in lists of ten results per search engine. “The goal here was to optimize the time of the User and aims to provide a superior experience with search.” Explains Ricardo Garay, CEO Handcase.

Gune also has a social aspect. “Gune is designed so that everyone can contribute to the directory, so if you know of a mobile site that’s not listed, you can suggest it, and Gune will add it to corresponding search directory once checked and approved.

Gune is available only in English, but Handcase ensures that versions in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian are underway.
