If you’re looking for a digital clock by the night stand, which is pretty good at waking almost anyone up, check out the TCL 200 Digital Alarm Clock with Wireless Vibrating Pad from Amplicom.  Complete with a power charger and a wireless vibration pad, the clock is essentially a plug-and-play device packed with plenty of features.  (You can also power it up with batteries.)

With plenty of button inputs, you can do a lot with this clock.  After connecting the device with the vibration pad, connect it to a phone jack in the wall, and when the phone rings in the house, the clock will act as an amplifier. On the back of the device, you can adjust the dimmer setting, the snooze duration, the volume of the alarm, the pitch of the alarm, and which of the 5 tones that you want for your alarm.  The alarm tones range from just a constant beep to a series of beeps, to longer tones, etc.  You also get the option of whether you want the alarm to make a sound, just vibrate or both.  Another switch on the back allows you to set the display on the clock face to flash when the alarm goes off, and also whether you want to set 2 different alarms, each one going off every day of the week, just on the weekend or just the weekdays.

On top of the clock is the snooze button, and on the right side is a knob that turns the alarm on and off .  On the front are indicator lights that tell you which of the 2 alarms are active and if the M-F setting is active.  On the front you will also find the buttons for setting the time, alarms and language to which you want the clock to announce the time (English, Spanish, Italian, German and French). The alarm volume on this clock can be adjusted up to 90 dB, which is pretty damn loud. Suffice it to say, you won’ t have any trouble hearing it, no matter how soundly you sleep.

The vibration pad has an 800 mAh battery, giving you up to 80-hours of use on a single charge.  The idea is that you slip the pad under your pillow, and if you have the clock set to include vibration with the alarm, when it’s waking time, your clock will go off and your vibration pad will vibrate….assuring you of an accurate and effective wake up call.
