MELLA- Kid’s Alarm Clock that Tracks Sleep

If getting woken up by your kid at 6 AM every morning is a familiar feeling, MELLA offers a great solution.  Designed by Little Hippo, MELLA is an all-in-one kid’s clock and sleep trainer designed specifically to keep your kid in bed longer.

Parents set the desired sleep time and wake time for their child and MELLA will teach the child when it’s time to sleep and when it’s time to wake up.  When it’s time for bed, MELLA goes to sleep too.  When it’s time to wake up, MELLA glows green.  Unlike other sleep trainers on the market, MELLA features a “Play Period” as well, where half an hour before the wake time, MELLA will glow yellow, signaling that it is almost time to wake up.

    MELLA tracks sleep

In addition to being a sleep trainer, MELLA is also a regular alarm clock, sleep sounds machine, night light and a nap timer.  For all the features offered, MELLA is a competitively priced alternative to other children sleep aids on the market.

When asked what makes MELLA different from other sleep trainers, Stephanie Lai, CEO and founder of Little Hippo, says, “MELLA is modern, sleek and minimal.  Other sleep trainers on the market look extremely childish and worse of all, they don’t last very long – both because of their build quality and also because kids just don’t want a plastic toy looking clock when they get older.  We hear from a lot of parents that they want something that looks good in addition to getting the job done – MELLA fills that need.”

MELLA is a regular alarm clock too

MELLA launched on Kickstarter on October 3rd and raised over 100% of their funding goal in less than 48 hours.  At the time of publication, they were over 150% funded and have over 550 backers.  MELLA is expected to be available in January 2018.

MELLA- The All-In-One Kid’s Clock and Sleep Trainer Designed to Keep Your Kid in Bed Longer

    San Francisco- October 5th, 2017

On October 3rd, 2017, Little Hippo released MELLA, the all-in-one kid’s clock and sleep trainer designed to keep your kid in bed longer, which was funded in less than 48 hours.

MELLA is a modern alarm clock, sleep trainer, sleep sounds machine, night light and nap timer rolled into one sleek package. By using a combination of facial expressions and changing colors, MELLA teaches your kid when it’s bed time and when it’s okay to wake up. MELLA’s unique sleep trainer teaches the concept of delayed gratification–half an hour before it’s time to wake up, MELLA will teach your child to stay in the bedroom quietly until it’s okay to wake up.

“We looked at all the sleep trainers on the market and knew that there had to be something better. Something that looked and was high quality, included all the essential features of a kid’s clock, and reasonably priced,” said Stephanie Lai, founder and CEO. “MELLA hits all those points.”

People can join in the initiative by visiting MELLA’s Kickstarter page at http://kck.st/2yg1PBz.

MELLA is ready to ship in January 2018. For more information about MELLA, visit www.littlehippo.com or email: [email protected].
