IOGEAR GearPower Dual USB 4.2A (20W) Wall Charger

Anyone that tends to use more than one personal device on a daily basis knows just how tricky it can be to have to recharge the batteries of multiple devices at once. If this is your case, then you should know that you can fix your problem by simply using a Dual USB Wall Charger, as these devices allow users to simultaneously recharge up to two personal devices at once. This brings us to the IOGEAR GearPower Dual USB 4.2A (20W) Wall Charger.

The IOGEAR GearPower Dual USB 4.2A (20W) Wall Charger features two 2.1 USB-A (10W) USB Output Charging ports, which come configured to provide fast-charging for all current Apple products, and that even includes all generations of iPad.

With a Dual USB Wall Charger like this one, you can easily keep the battery of all of your mobile devices recharged at all times, ultimately allowing you to have your personal devices fully-charged and ready to go, and that goes for whether you’re planning to stay at home, for long work days at the office, or even for any time that you’re going to be travelling.

So, let’s have a quick look at this awesome Fast-Charging Dual USB Wall Charger and check out its design as well as see everything that it has to offer you.

    DESIGN & POWER SPECS

Starting with the charger’s size, the IOGEAR GearPower Dual USB 4.2A (20W) Wall Charger comes at a very compact size, measuring just 2 inches long by 1.1 inches wide by 2 inches tall (5.1 x 2.8 x 5.1 cm), and the charger is also super lightweight, weighing just a measly 0.2 lbs (0.08kg).

Not only that, but this Fast-Charging Dual USB Wall Charger also features an ultra-portable folding design, as it comes equipped with a set of two (x2) folding prongs, which not only offers you an easy storage for the unit when not in use, but also allows you to easily and very conveniently carry it with you to work, school, or to even bring it with you while travelling.

For this Dual USB Wall Charger’s Power Specs, we have a total of 4.2 Amps of Power Output (2 x 2.1A per USB-A Output Charging Port) and a total Voltage Output of exactly +5VDC.

Still, you don’t really have to worry about the charger’s compact and ultra-portable design causing it to overheat, as that doesn’t really happen here thanks to the choice of materials (and somewhat hollow internal design) that the company decided to go with, all while still having the charger delivering a full 4.2A (2.1A x 2) output without ever overheating.

Lastly, for the charger’s Power Input Rating, we have exactly 110-240V~50/60Hz (at 0.5A).

    INTERFACE

Now, moving on to the charger’s interface. Since this is a 20W Dual USB-A Wall Charger (as mentioned earlier), this charger obviously comes equipped with two 2.1 USB-A USB Output Charging ports (which operate at 10W Output Power each) that feature fast-charging functionalities (but only for all current Apple products, including all generations of the iPad).

To use it, simply connect the charger to any standard home/office wall power socket and then connect up to two USB-A compatible devices (via USB-A Charging Cables) to the charger in order to have their batteries recharged at fast-charging speeds (exacltly as shown in the diagram below).

I’d still like to note that this Dual USB-A Wall Charger does not comes with any USB-A Charging Cables included in its package.

    COMPATIBILITY

Note that while this 20W Dual USB-A Wall Charger can be used to recharge most USB-A compatible mobile devices and tablets, as well as MP3 players, this charger is actually optimized to charge the most recently released (and currently existing) Apple products, such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod.

With it, you can quickly recharge up two devices simultaneously, whether those are two smartphones, two tablets, one of each, or best of all, thanks to the charger’s fast-charging functionalities for iOS devices, two iOS devices of your choice.

Nevertheless, I still want to point out that while this Dual USB-A Wall Charger can be used to recharge most USB devices, there are still some products with specific proprietary charging configurations – meaning specific charging configurations from some companies that aren’t Apple – that are not compatible with the charger. To put it simply, this basically includes certain models from BlackBerry, Samsung, and other brands.
