    Budget Gaming Phones for 2024

Are you searching for a new gaming phone? If so, then you will know how difficult it can be to find one on a budget. After all, a lot of the new flagship gaming phones that are being released are eye-wateringly expensive, which as a gamer, may mean you miss out on desirable features. Luckily, there are some models that have top-of-the-range tech, without the steep price tag.

    Motorola Edge Plus

This model was released in 2023 and features a Snapdragon 8 Gen CPU with 8GB of RAM and expandable storage. The Motorola Edge Plus has the same chipset that you’ll find in the Galaxy S23 series. With a 6.7-inch display and a 165Hz refresh rate, it’s one of the top gaming phones on the market. The phone is WiFi 7 ready too, which makes it very suited to those who play online casino titles or Big Racing slot games. It’s also great for those who like to stream sporting events, such as horse racing and football. If you’re a fan of streaming, then the Edge Plus has over 15 hours of battery life, one of the best in the last year for Android releases. Even when the screen is set to the maximum refresh rate, you can still excerpt a battery life of 13 hours or more, which is outstanding, to say the least.

The Motorola Edge Plus also features wireless charging, so if you’re on the go and want to use wireless charging stations on public transport, this can be done with ease. Going wireless with charging is a major plus for gamers who hate wires, and also adds a new level of convenience in general.

    OnePlus 12

This is another flagship phone from Android, and it’s got strong gaming credibility. With a 6.82-inch AMOLED screen and a Snapdragon 8 Gen CPU, it’s a contender for gaming phone of the year. It’s also got 12GB of RAM with expandable storage. The standout feature, however, is the price. It costs the same as its entry-level rivals, yet boasts higher storage and RAM. The OnePlus 12 might not have as many AI-powered features as other phones on the market, and the camera isn’t the best but the price you pay for top gaming features is second-to-none.

Another interesting feature of this phone is the Dual Cryo-velocity VC. This redefines cooling. It’s got a dual vapor chamber and it also comes packed with Laval Nozzle Technology. This delivers the biggest cooling surface to date. Heat dissipation is more efficient too, so if you play intensive RPG games on your device, or if you find that your current model is prone to overheating then this phone should solve that problem.

If you’re stuck between the two models, then the display quality is better on the OnePlus12. The OnePlus12 also boasts a slightly higher battery life and performance. If you want a phone that is catered to everyday use however then the Motorola Edge Plus could be a solid option. The camera is better and the build quality is also much more durable.
