What is a Shadowbox? It’s a small device that you attach to your board, (that’s any kind of board- skate, wake, snow), and track exactly how rad you’re getting. You’ve heard of a blackbox for the airplane. This is the same concept, saving stats from different sensors on the board, which allow you to review what happened after the fact.
Features include GPS to measure direction and speed, accelerometer to measure tilt and pitch, and a gyroscope to measure rotation. The recorded data is downloaded th computer software, and the software replays the moves on a computer, complete with animaged gear. It can also export the files to Google Earth to show paths drawn into actual landscapes.
Now, coaches and athletes can use the ShadowBox to study and improve technique, or just brag about their gravity-defying stunts……with empiracal proof!
The Waterproof ShadowBox was created for wakeboarders, who could use it to judge whether they truly accomplished there “trick”. But now, you can mount it to almost any equipment, from snowboards to bikes.
The ShadowBox will adjust its measurements and onscreen animations to suit the selected sport. Take for instance the barometric pressure sensor. It will measure elevation in hang gliding. The compass- it logs the precise skateboard orientation for later 3D analysis.

If you plan to use your ShadowBox for a specific sport (e.g. wakeboarding), select the ShadowBox package for that sport (e.g. ShadowBox Wake Package) to be sure you receive the proper mounting system.
