    GSM encryption cracked, Android LG LS680 coming for Sprint, Pre gaming may get better

    The encryption standard used to protect GSM phone calls on some networks has been cracked. The GSM Congress points out that this doesn’t mean voice calls can be intercepted.

    A new LG LS680 phone has turned up in the Sprint system running the Android OS. All we really know about the handset is that it runs Android; more details are expected at CES.

    The new WebOS 1.3.5 update that was announced officially last week has an updated App Catalog that proved leaked screens to be accurate that were floating around the web. The accuracy of the leaked screens has given weight to the authenticity of the Need for Speed Pre gaming video floating around supporting the claim that GPU accelerated gaming may be coming to the Pre.
