The new Canon SELPHY CP800 Compact Photo Printer, which will replace the SELPHY CP780, features a tilt LCD screen, built-in voice guidance, and dye sublimation technology, which produces smooth and glossy prints that are reportedly similar in quality and look to traditional lab photos. Prints are dry and ready for handling the second they leave the printer, and a special over-coating provides protection from spills and splashes.
The Canon SELPHY CP800 features an optional battery pack, giving you the option to print without power or on the go. It is designed to enable you to receive quality prints in 47 seconds. With a simple user interface alongside a large-button layout and a tilting 6.2cm (2.5”) color LCD screen, photos can be selected quickly and easily.
You can print directly from compatible memory cards or using the PictBridge connection from a camera or camcorder. The CP800 also comes with image editing programs such as the Smooth Skin feature, which enhances the image to more natural and appealing color tones. The Image Optimizer helps correct exposure and adjust the brightness, contrast and sharpness of images, while the Portrait Image Optimize feature delivers face detection, backlight correction and noise reduction.
The CP800 prints 4″ x 6″ high-quality photos which can last up to 100 years. It also has the ability to print photos to a variety of different sized media, including postcard and credit card. The SELPHY CP800 Compact Photo Printer will rund $99.99, and available in both black and white.
