Best Buy will Sell Kindle This Christmas

Amazon announced a partnership with Best Buy to make the Kindle e-reader available in retail stores for the holiday season. In the past, Amazon had been firmly committed to the online sales model for its vastly popular ereader. Currently, Best Buy carries ereader products from Sony as well as Barnes & Noble in its stores and Amazon is looking to capitalize on the retail holiday-buying frenzy.

The deal is for both the 3G ($189) and Wi-Fi ($139) Kindle models; the Kindle DX will be sold exclusively online for the time being.
