BeatBox Portable Speaker By Dr. Dre & Monster

Monster’s Beats by Dr. Dre’s line has added several new signature products to its BEATS lineup. The BeatBox portable speakers boast heavy duty ABS housing with black on black styling, silicon buttons, a built-in handle, and two 5.25 inch bass drivers, iPod Dock and 2-inch high-frequency drivers driving the audio. Monster says that the system lives up to club-like sound expectations, and for $449.99, you’re going to drop a few bucks.

The rest of the new devices are all headphones, with LeBron James Powerbeats sports headphones elbowing hard for the leading spot. They’ve got an over-the-ear loop, which is essential for dynamic activities; dual-drier design, which refers to the act of wicking off sweat; and the eartip doesn’t shut off all outside noises. It retails for $179.95.

The iBeats in-ear headphones, designed to acoustically seal you off from the world, have a ControlTalk cable that works with iPhones and other smartphones to control playback and handsfree calls.

They’re made of metal, which last time we checked wasn’t a rare mineral – that would have justified the $199.95 price
