    Dual-core Samsung Galaxy 2 to succeed Galaxy S in Q1 2011

Reports are flowing in that two unreleased smartphones, a prototype of Sony Ericsson’s upcoming Anzu that will launch as the Xperia X12, and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S successor, are coming soon. The Galaxy 2 features a dual-core processor and an impressive Super-AMOLED display, due to hit the first quarter of 2011.

It is possible that Galaxy 2, known also as the Samsung i9100, could be Samsung’s own version of the Nexus S the company is building for Google — in the same way HTC released the Desire after building Google’s Nexus One.
