Rain Bird (LG3HE) DIY In-Ground Impact Sprinkler with Click-N-Go Hose Connect Review

If you’re looking for an easier way to water your lawn, while avoiding the headache of trenching your yard to install irrigation pipes, then Rain Bird has the answer. Rain Bird Corporation is the world leader in irrigation solutions for more than 80 years. On March 20, 2019, the company announced the release of its new LG3HE In-Ground Impact Sprinkler with Click-n-Go Hose Connect. With it, homeowners can easily install a permanent, retractable sprinkler system in less than 30 minutes.

The Rain Bird LG3HE In-Ground Impact Sprinkler doesn’t require trenching for underground tubing. Its installation is easy and will forever eliminate sprinkler set up, adjustment, and removal after each use. This means users can easily install their Rain Bird LG3HE In-Ground Impact Sprinkler, in three simple, easy steps. All you have to do is dig a small hole, place the sprinkler inside the hole, and refill the hole with dirt. That’s all it takes for you to enjoy precise watering and green results.

The LG3HE In-Ground Impact Sprinkler is a permanent solution that works with your garden hose thanks to Rain Bird’s patented technology called Click-n-Go Hose Connect. You can easily connect the sprinkler to your garden hose, turn on the water, adjust the watering pattern once, and enjoy the sprinkler’s precise coverage, all season long. The sprinkler measures 4.13 inches long by 4.13 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall, and features a Pop-Up Height of 3 inches while sprinkling. It works with a full range of water pressures, between 25 to 55 psi.

The LG3HE In-Ground Impact Sprinkler can water up to a full circle range of 80 feet (adjustable between 20º-360º), making it perfect for average lawns. Additional In-Ground Impact Sprinklers can be installed to cover larger yards. Whenever you’re done using your LG3HE sprinkler(s), just disconnect the hose and the In-Ground Impact Sprinkler(s) will retract out of sight, meaning that you’ll be able to freely mow your grass and even go with your lawn mower right over the retracted sprinklers.

As it was previously said, the sprinkler’s watering pattern can be adjusted between 20º to 360º degrees. All you need to do is use a screwdriver to lift the internal assembly out of the sprinkler’s body until you can hold it with your hand. After that, rotate the Arc Adjustment Stops located on the collar below the impact assembly to the desired left and right positions. The Arc Adjustment Stops trigger direction reversal of the sprinkler’s watering pattern when they flip the sprinkler’s trip pin. If you’re looking to have the sprinkler operating on a 360º degree watering pattern all you need to do is flip up the trip pin so the sprinkler doesn’t get stuck during its 360º rotation.

The LG3HE is a simple DIY In-Ground Impact Sprinkler system that any homeowner can install quickly and enjoy for years to come.”

Rain Bird’s LG3HE In-Ground Impact Sprinkler with Click-n-Go Hose Connect is currently discounted, priced at $40 (was $50, saving you $10). If you’re looking to get one, you can find it for sale on Rain Bird’s online store, on this page.
