BALMUDA The Toaster – State-of-the-Art Steam Oven Toaster

If someone told you that there can actually be some sort of science behind the art of toasting your bread, you’d most likely call them crazy. Nevertheless, there’s a new kitchen appliance in the market that promises to help kitchen-experts to take their “toasting-endeavors” to a whole new level. Check out the brand-new BALMUDA The Toaster.

BALMUDA The Toaster is a high-end steam oven toaster that uses steam technology, precise heat controls, and five different modes to bring out the best in any kind of bread.

Thanks to its revolutionary Steam Technology, this state-of-the-art steam oven toaster can have a thin layer of steam that heats up more rapidly than air enveloping your favorite type of bread, which not only lightly toasts its surface but simultaneously keeps its inner moisture and flavor from escaping, and that goes for literally any kind of bread.

With it, you can easily toast any kind of bread in the best way possible. While you can simply use it to have your typical white bread slices perfectly toasted with a crisp brown exterior and a nice soft interior, this state-of-the-art steam oven toaster can do much more.

That said, it can also get recently purchased croissants re-toasted to a nice, warm and crispy outside with a fluffy and delicious buttery inside, and it can also re-bake any type of pastry (like English muffins for example) as well as re-bake any leftover pizza slices to ultimately make anything you put in it look like it just came freshly baked out of the oven.

Now that we most likely have your attention, let’s have a more detailed look at the BALMUDA The Toaster and check out its design and see exactly what this state-of-the-art steam oven toaster has to offer you.

    DESIGN & SPECS

Starting with the BALMUDA’s size, this high-end steam oven toaster features a reasonably compact size that allows it to easily fit in pretty much any kitchen countertop. Additionally, its super-minimalist design can blend pretty nicely with any type of kitchen décor that you choose to go with.

The toaster comes very well constructed, featuring a very solid build all around that ultimately makes the whole toaster very easy to use and maintain (meaning both quick cleanings and more thorough cleanings – for those who’ll be using it more than usual). First of all, the toaster’s sides don’t really have any extra opening that you need to worry about.

The exact same thing can be said about the toaster’s back-side, which features a safely closed design that promises to keep all of its internal components nicely protected and covered inside the toaster from any outside disasters (i.e. any accidental spilling when carrying around a package of cereals, water, milk, orange juice, etc. – meaning the typical breakfast ingredients that you’d normally use).

Now, right at the top of the toaster we can find its first functional feature, which is a small opening for its built-in Water Tank, and this is exactly what you will be using to have the toaster’s Steam Technology to work.

Basically, after pouring a reasonably small amount of water into the toaster’s Water Tank, that same water will be used by the toasters internal heating components to create steam, which is exactly what ensures that while your bread is getting nicely toasted outside, its inner side is still able to stay nicely moist and super fluffy.

Now, moving further down to its second feature, right at the bottom right of the toaster we can quickly find its ON/OFF Switch and Time Setting Dial, which you can conveniently use to turn the toaster On or Off and to precisely set up a timer for the toaster’s heating process.

Thanks to that, you can easily regulate the toaster’s heating times for each of its specific Baking Modes, which allows you to ensure that you can get a great result in both flavor and texture for your toasted bread, with your slices coming with a perfect crisp and savory outside surface and a fluffy and reasonably moist inside each and every time.

Lastly, at the bottom left of the toaster, we can find its Toasting Mode Dial, which can be used to easily swap between the toaster’s five (x5) different Toasting Modes, which are: Artisan Bread Mode, Sandwich Bread Mode, Pizza Mode, Pastry Mode, Over Mode.

The toaster’s Toasting Mode Dial comes directly linked to its Temperature Controls, as each of its 4 bread modes are already pre-programmed to reach a certain temperature at a certain timing.

Keep in mind that the toaster’s amount of heat that’s regulated from its built-in top and bottom heaters depends on which mode you selected, and its heating timing will also slightly vary depending on what time you’ve set for it via its Time Setting Dial.

For example, in its Pizza Mode, the top heating element will be on longer than the bottom one in order to ensure that your pizza slice’s cheese is properly melted without ever burning the bottom crust.

The way this works is thanks to its built-in thermometer (integrated inside the oven), which monitors the temperature by second, thus helping the toaster’s top and bottom heaters to regulate their respective temperatures (or to stay turned On/Off). This is exactly what ultimately helps the toaster to accurately reach its pre-programmed temperature.

As stated earlier, these five different Toasting Modes are exactly what allow you to have the toaster to bring out the best in any kind of bread.

That said, you can use the BALMUDA to bake some fresh slices of white bread, or alternatively, to re-bake a croissant, a leftover pizza slice, or any type of pastry, all coming out of the toaster like they just got freshly baked out of the oven.
