Tablo (4th Gen) – Over-The-Air DVR & Streaming Device for Live TV (50 Hrs Storage)

Many of us enjoy watching TV at home, whether that’s watching live sports and TV shows as a way to unwind, or even watching the local news in order to keep up with everything that’s going on in the country and around the world. Nevertheless, it’s no secret that the average cost of cable TV services has skyrocketed to absurd values over the last few years. According to a recent news article by Cord Cutters News, the average monthly cost for cable services increased by 52 percent in the last three years alone, rising from approximately $96 to $147 per month, about “three times the cost of inflation”. Additionally, cable companies have also reduced the number of TV channels included in their cable packages. This noticeable price increase in cable services has lead many families to cancel their monthly subscriptions. But with doing so, you’ll also lose your cable company’s DVR (digital video recorder), which gives you the ability to record your favorite TV content and watch it at a later date, from football games, to TV shows, documentaries, and even important news stories. Luckily, there’s a solution on the market that can offer you a free antenna TV experience without requiring a subscription, and it’s called the Tablo.

The Tablo is a fourth generation whole-home digital video recorder for over-the-air broadcast television signals that’s connected to a UHF/VHF indoor TV antenna boasting a 35-mile range and to your home’s internet, which allows you to watch, pause, record, and replay live broadcast TV from the major networks including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and more, plus a curated selection of 40 free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels, all of which are sent wirelessly through the Tablo App to compatible devices, including smart TVs, streaming media devices, tablets, and smartphones. The device boasts 128GB of onboard HD storage for recording 50 hours of content (expandable with a USB hard drive up to 8TB via its USB-A 2.0 port for recording up to 1,000 hours), 1GB RAM for processing over-the-air broadcast television signals, and supports both Ethernet connectivity and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for an optimal antenna placement. Users can watch and record up to two live channels simultaneously and can also watch on up to six devices at once. The system also includes a rolling 14 days of live TV guide data, which provides you with several advanced DVR features including one-touch series recording, advanced recording options, and more.

Recently upgraded from the previous third-model which previously only offered recording of over-the-air (OTA) broadcast television, the fourth-generation of the Tablo now also gives its users access to including FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) channels.
