Klatz Combines a Smartwatch with Handset

    Klatz smartwatch and handset

While smartwatches may still be in their novelty stage, there are a few out there that lean a bit more on the practical and useful side. Take for example a new slant on the smartwatch, the Klatz, which attempts to make things a little less nerdy to take a call with something on your wrist.  Why? Because The Klatz allows you to take it off your wrist and answer calls just like you would a traditional handset. Watch the video…

    The Klatz Handset

As a smartwatch, the Klatz is pretty straightforward. It’s got a dot-matrix-esque screen that lets you know the time, alerts you to incoming texts and calls, and generally does what one expects from the modern day smartwatch. The interesting part is when you get a call and flip it open; it turns into, essentially a full Bluetooth handset, so you can take the call without talking into your phone from your wrist or sharing your conversation with the public.

    Unique Design

The Klatz is an Indiegogo project, and will take a little convincing for public buy-in, but it’s definitely unique, and actually a great design idea.
