JBL CLIP 4 – Ultra-Portable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

Whenever you’re traveling or exploring the outdoors, it can be somewhat hard to bring a Bluetooth Speaker with you to play your favorite tunes, and that goes especially for those that simply can’t live their days without music. That said, for any music lovers that are searching for a portable and reliable Bluetooth Speaker that can be brought with you on-the-go while you explore the outdoors and enjoy Mother Nature, consider having a quick look at the JBL CLIP 4.

The JBL CLIP 4 is a compact and ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker that comes equipped with a sturdy carabiner, while also featuring a IP67 Waterproof and Dust-proof rating and up to 10 hours of battery life.

Thanks to its integrated carabiner, you can conveniently clip it to your backpack, belt, buckles or even to any clothing item with straps, and then ultimately explore the world while bringing your music along with you.

Best of all, since this awesome portable waterproof Bluetooth speaker supports Wireless Bluetooth Streaming, you can have it stream your music from any Bluetooth-enabled device, whether that’s your Smartphone, your tablet, or any other device that features Bluetooth connectivity. Thanks to that, you can have your main Bluetooth device inside your backpack and streaming your music directly to the JBL CLIP 4, which you can have clipped to any part of your exploration gear thanks to its integrated carabiner.

Now, let’s have a quick look at the CLIP 4’s design and specs and check out everything there is to know about this awesome portable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker.

Starting with the CLIP 4’s size, this portable Bluetooth speaker features a very compact body, as it measures just by 3.4 inches deep by 1.8 inches wide (thick) by 5.3 inches tall. Additionally, thanks to its compact and ultra-slim design, the JBL CLIP 4, is also ultra-lightweight, weighing just a measly 0.53 lbs. (0.24 kgs).

Thanks to its compact body and oval shape, this portable Bluetooth speaker is also fairly easy to grab/grip, as its round, smooth and featherweight body can comfortably fit within your dominant hand.

As mentioned before, the CLIP 4 is a waterproof Bluetooth speaker, as it features a very durable construction that comes accompanied by a IP67 Waterproof and Dust-proof rating.

Still, while its ultra-durable outer shell keeps its internal contents perfectly protected from dust as well as from any unexpected water splashes, the speaker’s minimalist, yet stylish design also integrates a colorful combination of both brighter- and darker-tone fabrics, which ultimately makes the speaker quite pleasing to look at, thus making it look as great as it sounds (we’ll discuss the speaker’s Audio Quality right ahead).

Additionally, and as said before, this portable waterproof Bluetooth speaker also comes equipped with a sturdy carabiner that comes directly built into the top-right side of the CLIP 4’s body.

As mentioned before, thanks to its integrated carabiner, you can have the speaker conveniently clipped to your backpack or belt, as well as to any buckles or even to any clothing item with straps, allowing you to ultimately explore the world while bringing your music along with you.

Now, despite the speaker’s compact size, the JBL CLIP 4 is still powered by the company’s very rich JBL Original Pro Sound Technology, which basically allows the speaker to deliver a surprisingly rich audio with both a great sound quality and a reasonably punchy bass.

For anyone wondering, this portable waterproof Bluetooth speaker features exactly 5W of Output Power.

For the rest of its audio specs, the CLIP 4 features a Dynamic Frequency Response Range (Hz) that goes between 100Hz-20kHz and a  Frequency Range Hz (at -10 dB) of 2400 to 2483.5MHz.

Just like its minimalist, yet stylish design, the JBL CLIP 4 also features a very, VERY simple Interface / Control Panel.

That said, right at the top of the speaker’s front-side, we have a Play/Pause Button at the middle, a Volume Decrease Button at the left side, and a Volume Increase Button at the right side.

Moreover, just wrapping around the back of the speaker’s left side, we also have a ON/OFF Power Button as well as Bluetooth Connectivity Button (used to established a Bluetooth connection between your main device – Smartphone or tablet – and the speaker).

Speaking of Bluetooth Connectivity, the JBL CLIP 4 features support to Bluetooth 5.1, as well as support to several different Bluetooth profiles (including A2DP 1.3, AVRCP 1.6).

On a side note, for its Bluetooth transmitter power, this speaker operates at a ≤ 10 dBm (EIRP) frequency, supporting a few different Bluetooth transmitted modulations (including GFSK, π/4 DQPSK, 8DPSK).

Since the CLIP 4 is designed as a Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, it also comes equipped with an internal rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery that can offer you up to 10 hours of battery life / play time (these numbers only apply for whenever using the speaker at an average sound level, as having it playing your music at its maximum sound settings will have its battery last you a little bit less than 10 hours).

Whenever the speaker’s battery runs out of power, you only have to wait around 3 hours to have its battery recharged from 0% back to 100%. To recharge it, all you have to do is to connect its included USB-C Charging Cable to the speaker’s USB-C Charging port.

Inside each package users will find: their JBL Clip 4 Bluetooth Speaker, the speaker’s included USB-C Charging Cable, a Quick Start Guide and a Safety Sheet, and the speaker’s corresponding Warranty Card.

The JBL CLIP 4 is a compact and ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker that comes equipped with a sturdy carabiner, while also featuring a IP67 Waterproof and Dust-proof rating and up to 10 hours of battery life.

Overall, this is a great and very handy speaker to have around for any outdoors enthusiasts that enjoys listening to their favorite tunes while exploring the outdoors, and that goes for whether you’re camping, hiking, or even just going for a nice and relaxing fishing afternoon.

The CLIP 4 is currently available in a total of 6 different, yet very vibrant and super-colorful designs, so I’m pretty sure that all tastes are covered. That said, if you’re thinking about buying it, go with the one that better fits your style.

If you’re indeed interested in purchasing your own CLIP 4, each speaker is currently going for just $69.95. You can order yours online right now, directly from JBL’s official shopping page, which you can access via this link here.
