Hepper Pod Bed – Modern & Comfortable Elevated Cat Bed

As all cat owners are probably aware of, cats simply love to climb onto things. Whether that’s jumping on top of their owners’ beds, climbing onto a couch / sofa, or even just leaping onto furniture, cats basically love to jump onto any sort of elevated object. That’s simply because cats are built to climb and jump, as their flexible musculoskeletal system ultimately gives them exceptional coordination and balance as well as an outstanding ability to jump up to incredibly high places. Moreover, cats are also extremely curious animals by nature. In fact, having the ability to be on elevated spaces is a very important social need for cats, as these high spots not only make them feel much safer than when they’re close to (or on) the ground, but they also give them a much better view of their surrounding environment. With all that said, if you’re looking for a way to give your cat(s) a place where they can feel safe and better protected from young children and other furry friends, then the Hepper Pod Bed gives you the perfect way to do that.

The Hepper Pod Bed is a modern and ultra-comfortable pod-shaped elevated cat bed that’s warm and cozy, featuring an ultra-soft upholstered fabric exterior made of flexible molded EVA foam, and a machine washable interior bed liner made with soft sherpa fleece and microfiber.

By getting this pod-shaped elevated cat bed, cat owners will ultimately provide their cats with a high-end and extremely comfortable cat bed that their furry companions will love to nap on.

Now, let’s have a more detailed look at the Hepper Pod Bed and see everything that makes this pod-shaped elevated cat bed so special.

    DESIGN & SPECS

Starting with the unit’s size, this pod-shaped elevated cat bed comes at a reasonably compact size (furniture-wise), measuring just 21.5 inches long by 17 inches wide by 18.5 inches tall, so it doesn’t take up much space within the room that you’re looking to have it installed on.

Elevated Pod-Shaped Cat BedNevertheless, the Hepper Pod Bed’s integrated cat bed – which can obviously be found at the top-side of the unit – is still spacious enough for one large fluffy cat – or even two small cats – to comfortably snuggle down inside it.

To be a little more specific, note that its cat bed area measures exactly 19 inches long by 15 inches wide, and exactly 11 inches tall from its floor to ceiling. As such, even bigger cats will have enough headroom to move around inside the unit’s cat bed with ease.

Elevated Pod-Shaped Cat BedOn that note, keep in mind that while this pod-shaped elevated cat bed is designed to hold up to 40 lbs. of weight, it’s still best for cat owners to use it for one cat weighing just up to around 25 pounds, as a cat weighing 40 lbs. simply won’t fit inside the Hepper Pod’s elevated cat bed. Alternatively, two small cats (mainly juvenile cats in their yearly years) can sleep together inside the Hepper Pod if they both share those 40 lbs. of weight.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Hepper Pod Bed’s unique horizontally-expanded shape really gives cats a lot of space to move around inside its pod-shaped elevated cat bed.

In fact, this pod-shaped elevated cat bed is constructed in a bowl-shaped design that’s mainly focused on a cat’s comfort, which ultimately allows the Hepper Pod Bed to offer its cat residents nice and soft rounded sides that are extremely comfortable for them to lean against.

Moving on to the unit’s construction. Starting at the bottom-side of the unit, we have a set of 4 sturdy legs that keep its specially designed base strong and stable at all times. Note that this thoroughly designed base is exactly where the Hepper Pod Bed’s bottom half is installed.

Moreover, under each of the unit’s legs there are also Non-Slip Rubber Pads, which ultimately ensure that all of its legs stay firmly put and without ever slipping / sliding, especially when your cat(s) jump in and out of the Hepper Pod’s elevated cat bed.

As said earlier, on the inside of this pod-shaped elevated cat bed we have a interior bed liner that’s made with a thick, yet really soft sherpa fleece for maximum coziness, as well as with a microfiber trim that lines the bottom of this cat hideout.

Once again, the Hepper Pod Bed’s interior sherpa fleece and microfiber bed liner is machine washable, and as such, can be easily removed from inside the main unit for an easy cleaning process when necessary.

Right at the center of this pod-shaped elevated cat bed, we also have a fairly large door entrance measuring exactly 8.5″ wide by 8.5″ tall, which ultimately ensures that any extra-fluffy cat(s) can have an easy access to their Hepper Pod’s inner side.

And one other great feature of the Hepper Pod Bed is that its pod-shaped elevated cat bed also has a Wide Lip at the bottom-edge of its large door entrance, which gives cats a comfy place for resting their heads when they’re feeling really tired.

    Ultra-Soft Exterior Upholstered Fabric Construction

Then, for the unit’s its exterior side, we have an ultra-soft upholstered fabric construction that’s made of flexible molded EVA foam, with its fabric being laminated (upholstered) on both sides of the Hepper Pod Bed.

    Elevated Pod-Shaped Cat Bed
    Thorough Reinforced Edging

Both of the unit’s sides also have a thorough reinforced edging between their upholstered fabric and their fuzzy interior bed liner, which helps to ensure that wrinkles and folds are reduced to a bare minimum. That ultimately helps to keep the Hepper Pod always looking sharp, even after a long time using it, all while always still feeling just as soft as the first day you got it.

    SET-UP / INSTALLATION

Speaking of the Hepper Pod’s sides, cat owners can have the Hepper Pod Bed set up / installed in one of two different ways. They can either have just the unit’s bottom-half installed in order to have it opened, or alternatively, have both halves installed together in order to have it closed in a pod-shaped elevated cat bed form.

When having it opened up by having just its bottom-half installed, the Pod Bed will make for a great day bed for your cat, with its door entrance’s bottom-side sitting at 10 inches off the floor, for which your cat won’t even be bothered by passing foot traffic, but will still be able to see what’s going on from up above.

Alternatively, by adding in the Hepper Pod’s top-half, the unit will truly become a pod-shaped elevated cat bed. When having the Hepper Pod fully-mounted with both halves, your cat will undoubtedly get a great night’s sleep each and every night, as the unit’s top-side ensures that your cat will stay nice and toasty while also making him/her feel secure and with enough privacy for a relaxed sleep (three truly important things that cats would never get from a regular cat bed).

It’s also worth noting that setting up the Hepper Pod Bed is a fairly quick and straightforward process, as the unit’s assembly with only requires for cat owners to screw its 4 legs onto the main unit.

    MAINTENANCE TIPS

For taking care of the Hepper Pod, when looking to keep its inner side nice and clean (meaning the inside of its elevated cat bed), you simply have to use a vacuum or lint roller to be able to remove as much cat fur as possible for its interior sherpa fleece and microfiber bed liner.

Then, for cleaning any potential “messes” from spots around the unit’s halves’ exterior sides, simply use a clean rag and warm water with a very mild soap solution to spot clean. After that, mix a mild cool water solution in the sink with a tiny bit of detergent for spot washing a second time. Since these parts are flexible, you’ll be able to bend them to fit into the sink with ease.

Keep in mind that you are not meant to put the unit’s two main halves into a washing machine or a drying machine. That said, once you’re done manually spot cleaning them (if ever necessary), finish by air drying these only, and not machine-drying them.

Finally, for washing the Hepper Pod Bed’s interior sherpa fleece and microfiber bed liner, just remember that you need to machine wash it with cold water on a gentle cleaning cycle. Then finish by machine-drying at a low temperature dry cycle.
