Not only that, but most Adventure GPS Watch also feature a multifunctional design, thus offering outdoors enthusiasts even more useful functionalities, like a waterproof design that keeps their watches’ internal components perfectly protected from water-damage as well as a bright backlight to help them read the time at night. So, if you’re looking for a new adventure-ready timepiece to keep you company on the wild outdoors world out there, then consider going with the COROS VERTIX.

The COROS VERTIX is an ultra-durable GPS Adventure Watch that features a revolutionary touchscreen, a 150-meter Waterproof Rating, an ultra-bright backlight, a long battery life, and many smart Tracking features, including a smart 24/7 Blood Oxygen Monitoring function, a Track Mode for running, and a Training Mode for accurately measuring any workout activity that you’re looking to do.

Overall, this resilient GPS Adventure Watch is perfect for those who prefer to train and workout while exploring the outdoors.

So, without any further ado, let’s a complete look at the COROS VERTIX and check out every feature that this smart GPS Adventure Watch has to offer you while you’re out exploring the outdoors.

    DESIGN & SPECS

Starting with the watch’s size, the COROS VERTIX comes at a reasonably compact size, has the watch itself only measures 1.85 inches long by 1.85 inches wide by 0.61 inches tall / thick (47 x 47 x 15.6 mm). Additionally, this GPS Adventure Watch also features a feather-light construction, thus making it ultra-lightweight when worn.

That said, it’s important to note that you can get it either with a Silicone Band, which would give it a total weight of 2.68 oz. (76 g), or alternatively, for those looking for a slightly “lighter-weight” wearing experience, you could ultimately get it with a Nylon Band, which would give it a total weight of 2.22 oz. (63 g).

Not only that, but this stylish GPS Adventure Watch also features a very sturdy construction, meaning that it features a ultra-durable and corrosion-free build that makes it both scratch-proof and weather-proof build that ultimately allows it to have a flawless operation between a wide temperature range of -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) with less than a 30% depreciation in battery performance (more on the watch’s battery life further ahead).

After a quick glimpse at the watch, you’ll quickly notice its gorgeous corrosion-free Titanium Frame and Titanium Bezel.

Furthermore, right at the center, you’ll also notice the VERTIX’s virtually scratch-proof Sapphire Glass Screen that even features a Diamond-Like Coating to it, which ultimately gives this GPS Adventure Watch one of the most resilient screens that you can find currently available on the market.

Now, note that the COROS VERTIX actually comes equipped with a revolutionary Memory LCD touchscreen with an enabled breadcrumb navigation, which completely revamps the traditional button experience that you commonly have while using other GPS Adventure Watch, and that even goes for users wearing thick climbing gloves or underwater gloves.

Thanks to that, you can conveniently use its touchscreen along with its enlarged digital dial for your own outdoors navigation, which ultimately allow you to move the watch’s Navigation Track Up or Down, Left or Right, as well as to easily Zoom In and Zoom Out.

    The watch’s screen features a Display Size of 1.2 in x 240 x 240, and operates at a 64-colors Display Rate.

In addition to its ultra-durable and corrosion-free build, the VERTIX also features a 15ATM Waterproof Rating, or in other words, a 150-meter (492 ft.) Waterproof Rating, thus making it the perfect adventure-ready timepiece for any outdoors enthusiast that regularly plans on going for a swim in a river, lake, etc.

    INTERFACE & SENSORS

For the COROS VERTIX interface – meaning its Control Buttons – we have a very sleek and simple set of controls, which, from top to bottom include a Light Button, a Time Button, and a Back Lap Button.

While the watch’s Light Button offers you a basic manual option still for quick bursts of the watch’s ultra-bight backlight, this button can also be used to trigger its Night Mode function, which basically activates its bright backlight for keeping the watch’s dial perfectly illuminated and easy to ready during any nighttime activities.

I’d also I’d like to mention that while the watch’s backlight is bright enough that your eyes can easily adjust to it in order to easily read the watch’s dial in complete darkness, its backlight is still dim enough to allow the watch to maintain superior battery performance throughout your entire workout, even if you need its backlight On during the entire night.

That said, keep in mind that activating its Night Mode will ultimately leave the watch’s backlight turned On for the entirety of your nighttime exploration or nighttime workout. However, there’s no reason for you to worry about the watch’s battery, as its Night Mode function and its backlight both turn themselves Off automatically either when you finish you workout, or ultimately, at sunrise.

Last but not least, at the back-side of the watch’s body, we also have a couple of built-in sensors, including an Optical Pulse Oximeter, an Optical Heart Rate Monitor, a Barometric Altimeter, an Accelerometer, a Compass, a Gyroscope, and a Thermometer.

    BATTERY & BATTERY LIFE

For the watch’s super long battery life, the COROS VERTIX’s built-in rechargeable battery can get you up to 45 days of regular house, 60 hours of full GPS Mode, or 150 hours on UltraMax Mode.

As mentioned before, the watch’s ultra-resilient weather-proof build ultimately allows this GPS Adventure Watch to have a flawless operation between a wide temperature range of -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) with less than a 30% depreciation in battery performance, thus allowing the VERTIX’s battery to last you for a maximum of 21 hours in GPS mode under extreme temperatures of -22°F/-30°C.

Lastly, keep in mind that to recharge the watch’s built-in battery, it should only take you around 2 hours to do so, which is actually a great feature to have, allowing you to simply leave it charging over night while you rest for your next day’s workout.

    CONNECTIVITY

For the watch’s connectivity, the VERTIX features support to both ANT+/Bluetooth connectivity for a Wireless Connection with your Personal Accessories / devices, like your Smartphone for example.

In addition, thanks to some of its integrated sensors, you’re also offered connection to a few Navigation Systems, like GPS/QZSS, GLONASS, and BeiDou.

THE SMARTPHONE COMPANION APP – The COROS App

Furthermore, users can also download the COROS App for free for both iOS and Android devices, which ultimately allows them to get even more out of their COROS VERTIX Multisport GPS Adventure Watch by using it together with their Smartphone.

That said, the COROS App includes a Training Mode that allows you to create, share and download workouts made by professional athletes and coaches for Running, Cycling, Swimming or Strength Training. In addition to that, you can also build your own workout in the COROS App for pretty much any workout / sports activity, with virtually no limitations whatsoever.

For those wondering about what workouts are supported, know that the COROS App’s Training Mode supports: Run, Indoor Run, Trail Run, Track Run, Hike, Bike, Indoor Bike, Pool Swim, Open Water, Triathlon, Gym Cardio, GPS Cardio, Ski, Snowboard, XC Ski, Ski Touring, Multisport, and Strength as all of its Training Modes.

Best of all, users can select from more than 200+ preloaded exercises to create their ideal strength training session in a matter of minutes.

To be a little more specific, this Multisport GPS Adventure Watch can quickly learn your running form, and each of these Training Modes offer users a precise analysis of their training load and performance, with a detailed evaluation of their exertion and recovery.

Lastly, for those looking to share their workouts with friends and/or training partners, know that that can be easily done via text, email, social media or even by simply directing your training companions to the COROS App by having them use a QR code.
