    PlayStation app coming to iPhone & Android

    –While the PlayStation Phone is still in the works as we’ve been reporting,  in the meantime,  Sony has announced the upcoming release of its first official PlayStation app for the iOS and Android platforms.

    Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2

    Features of the PlayStation app include:

    • Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
    • Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
    • Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
    • Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.

    The free PlayStation app will launch soon for the iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices running version 1.6 or later. The app will initially be available in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, with additional markets to follow.
